‘The East Empire
Service Company.’ 6 - Tees Co. For Garbstore's sixth collection of garments they decided to do the opposite of everyone else, they are never fooled by brands or products crowing about being domestically made, clothing for us is about one thing, quality, this has to happen where it benefits the garment most. Garbstore aim to reproduce the feeling of dead stock in new items that may have or could have existed in the past. |

Garbstore look to Asia
for it’s continuing
commitment to what they do, it’s unique position to produce and
re-produce vintage textiles, woven on old looms mainly in the Okayama
region of western Japan, they use workshops full of highly skilled flexible
workers, specializing in vintage forms of making. Garbstore will always put the quality of that individual garment first, this is what they hold up in front of the world and say this is us, nothing else, they are not about making in a particular place, gleaning light from hard working factory owners who should be the only ones telling their story, it is after all their factory. |
